Security Display Solutions, in partnership with Kensington, provides key management for a variety of situations. If you order a Kensington security cable on our website, you will receive a standard set of two identical keys or a combination lock that you can set yourself. This is a great solution for individuals, but not always the best solution for companies. We offer the following key management options for Kensington locks from 25 pieces onwards. We can offer very competitive prices for larger numbers. Please contact us for this:
Master keyed: administrator access with user keys
The administrator or IT manager has access to all Kensington locks via a Master Key and the users all have their own individual and unique key (2 pieces). Every user has the possibility to protect his/her laptop against theft both in the office and on the road. The administrator has a Master Key which opens each lock in case of necessary upgrades, moving, replacing or in case someone losses their keys.
The ideal solution for protecting equipment against theft where the user needs access, such as with laptops and tablets.
Single keyed: only administrator access
The IT manager or administrator has access to all Kensington locks via a Master Key. The administrator has a Master Key which opens each lock for necessary upgrades, moving, replacing equipment or in case of lost keys.
The ideal solution for securing (fixed) equipment against theft, where only the administrator needs access.
Like keyed: administrator access for everyone
Everyone within a group, department, company, or laboratory has identical keys that allow access to all equipment.
The ideal solution to prevent unauthorized theft without sacrificing flexibility and productivity.
Keyless on-site administration: combination lock with master code and individual code
Users can provide master coded combination locks with their own code. The administrator can overwrite any user code using the ComboGenie and the unique master code.
The ideal solution for securing equipment on location against keyless theft where the user needs access such as laptops and tablets.
The supplied combination locks have a preset combination of numbers that can no longer be changed. The codes are all unique and known only to the user and the administrator. A program for keeping track of all number combinations is accessible to the administrator via the Internet.
The ideal solution for securing equipment remotely against keyless theft where the user needs access like with laptops and tablets.
